If the Seller Finds the Buyer during the listing period, can the seller keep the Realtor Commission?
If a seller has an agent and finds the buyer, most listing agreements do not say the seller can keep the commission. The seller can wait until the listing period expires with the Realtor/Broker , honor listing terms, and then sell the home themselves. There are an extreme number of tasks and skills needed to get a good price and a legitimate escrow through to the Sold status. Property sales are often very unique and complex.
